Aman Johal’s 1992 300 SL 24V
Aman Johal shared his black-and-grey Mercedes 300 SL 24V on MBWorld, describing it as a 1992 car with 78,000 miles. He had bought it in early 2017 to restore and, about a year later, said he had spent a considerable amount getting it restored. The photographs show its right-hand-drive cabin, engine bay and exterior details.
Work reported and plans still ahead
The owner said the car originally had several electrical problems, including a burnt immobiliser wire and an alternator that was not charging the battery. He also reported a recent £1,000 exhaust replacement and felt that it improved engine smoothness. He did not provide a repair procedure or independent diagnostic results. Replacing the headlight-wiper motors, finding AMG wheels and addressing remaining imperfections were still on his to-do list.
The cabin, details and exterior
The photographs retain their original order and full framing. The vehicle’s year, mileage and restoration history are the owner’s descriptions; the individual photographer, factory paint specification and photograph reuse permission are unknown.
