Reported symptom and diagnosis

The author reports that cabin airflow stopped while driving and that a dealer diagnosis led them to obtain a blower motor and regulator. That diagnosis concerns one vehicle and does not establish the cause of every loss-of-airflow complaint.

Cabin filter, regulator and blower replacement

The author first describes lowering the panel below the glovebox and replacing the cabin filter. The account then removes the regulator beside the filter housing and the blower motor, fits the replacements and reconnects the wiring. The author reports normal HVAC operation and quieter airflow afterward.

Tool and clip details

The tool size the author used differs from one they had been told to expect. The filter clip's condition also reflects that vehicle's prior service history. These details do not establish a general recommendation to use a particular tool or omit clips.
