Wipers stopped, then swept too low
bobomoto1 reported that the front wipers on his 2007 G55 AMG stopped during heavy rain. Moving the arms freed them, but the blades then hit the lower windshield seal and no longer followed their usual sweep. Under the hood, he found a loose motor, a missing mounting fastener and a missing bracket nut.
A cracked motor and replacement
In his follow-up, bobomoto1 said the motor had turned out to be cracked and needed replacement. He had the work carried out because he was short of time and had not found sufficient DIY detail. He did not document the removal procedure or provide a longer-term result, so this account does not establish which fasteners must be removed or whether dashboard removal is required.

Another owner’s repair experience
Separately, 06G55 reported a crack in the same area and a missing bracket nut associated with stripped threads. A VW Beetle motor bought after a video comment did not fit his vehicle. He then removed his existing motor, had it welded and reinstalled it. This is a separate repair report; it does not demonstrate interchangeability, a validated welding procedure or a permanent cure for the original vehicle.
