Black tips and the OEM wide-oval comparison
Alfa40 asked the Rennlist 993 forum for photographs of black exhaust tips, mentioning Fabspeed as one possibility. He wanted to see how they looked and whether their size and fit could be compared with the large OEM ovals. The discussion supplies photographs and individual impressions, rather than measured dimensions or a demonstrated installation procedure.
Alfa40’s follow-up questions
After seeing the examples, Alfa40 asked whether the thin-wall Fabspeed tips could be bought in black and whether they were about the same size as the OEM wide ovals. He liked the FD Motorsports examples but remained hesitant about the larger oval appearance. Those comments describe his preferences and questions, not a confirmed purchase or fitment result.
PRSWILL’s thin-wall Fabspeed example
PRSWILL described his tips as Fabspeed thin-wall units with polished stainless steel on the outside and blacked-out interiors. His attached rear-view photograph shows the example he was discussing. These are a different contributor’s vehicle and photographs from Kiwi01’s example; the two accounts are not combined into one car or one installation.
Different impressions of the oval shape
Knight thought the Fabspeed example was close to OEM, but said the oval looked less large and more stretched in width to his eye. PRSWILL later said his Fabspeed tips were very close to his OEM thin-wall tips. On the second page, Knight expressed a preference for larger ovals filling the opening. These are attributed visual opinions, not a measured comparison or a compatibility guarantee. The individual photographers and photograph reuse permissions are unknown.

Kiwi01’s FD Motorsports photograph
Kiwi01 shared a rear-view photograph and identified the tips as FD Motorsports. He was unsure whether they were still being made when he posted. The photograph is one member’s example; it does not establish current availability, part dimensions or compatibility with another car.
